Abstract



                           Effect  of  high quality organic  fertilizer  with  Jack  bean  for  Baby corn Production  in Nakhon


                  Pathom series, was performed in an farmer area at Muang District Kanchanaburi Province  since May 2013

                  until February 2014. The objectives were to compare the effects of a high quality organic fertilizer, high

                  quality  organic  fertilizer  with  green  manure    and  farmers  method  on  baby  corn  production,  chemical

                  properties of soil and economic returns.  The experimental design was randomized complete block with 4

                  replications and 5 treatments  as follows : 1) control without  fertilizer application  2)  application of

                  chemical fertilizer  at the farmer rate  3)  planted 10 kg per rai of jack bean seed 4)  applied 1,000 kg per rai

                  of high quality organic fertilizer and  5)  planted 10 kg of jack bean seed integrated with 1,000 kg per rai of

                  high quality  organic  fertilizer.  It was found that the change of some chemical properties showed decrease

                  nutrients  after  the  experiment  following    1.08  percent  of  organic  matter,  20  mg  per  kg  of  available


                  phosphorus and 183 mg per kg of exchangeable potassium. A maximum yield was found on planted 10 kg

                  of jack bean seed integrated with 1,000 kg per rai of high quality  organic  fertilizer was 3,381.36 kg per rai

                  and the highest of net profit was 9,579.44 bath per rai. The results from these studies conclude that planted

                  10 kg of jack bean seed  integrated with 1,000 kg per rai of high quality  organic  fertilizer is probably the

                  best method for baby corn cultivation in Nakhon Pathom soil series.
