              Rubic Arenosols

Rubic Arenosols have a layer ≥ 30 cm thick

between 25 and 100 cm of the surface soil, which
does not consist of albic material and that have, in ≥

90% of its exposed area, a Munsell colour hue redder
              than 10YR and/or chroma of ≥ 5, both moist.

Hua Hun series (Hh) is a representative of

Gleyic Arenisols. Hua Hin soils are formed from beach
sand on young beach ridge or dune sand. They

occurred on nearly level to gently undulating relief of
young beach ridges and dune sand. Slope ranges from

1-5 percent. Occupies moderate extent along coastal
zone in Peninsular Thailand and some areas along

coastal zone of Thailand. Drainage is somewhat
excessively drained, permeability is estimated to be

rapid and surface runoff is slow. They are very deep
sandy soils and are characterized by a very dark brown

sand surface or A horizon overlying a yellowish brown
sand C horizon. Shell fragment throughout the soil

profile. Moderately alkaline, reaction values 8.0. Land
use limitations are sandy and low fertility. Land use

limitations are low fertility. Mainly used for settlement
              and coconut plantation.
