fine granular and weak medium to coarse subangular blocky structure;

very friable, slightly sticky and non plastic; many very fine to fine
interstitial and many very fine to fine tubular pores; many very fine

to fine and common medium to coarse and few very coarse roots;
moderately acid (field pH 6.0); clear, smooth boundary to BA.

BA 15-35 Strong brown (7.5YR 5/8) sandy clay loam; moderate fine to coarse
subangular blocky structure; friable, slightly sticky and very plastic;

patchy thin between sand grain and along root channel; many very
fine to fine interstitial and common medium tubular pores; few very

fine and common fine and common medium roots; moderate acid
(field pH 6.0); gradual, smooth boundary to Bt1.

Bt1 35-70/80 Strong brown (7.5YR 5/8) sandy clay loam; weak fine to medium

subangular blocky structure; friable, slightly sticky and very plastic;

patchy thin between sand grain and along root channel; many very
fine to fine interstitial and common medium tubular pores; few fine

and common medium roots; strongly acid (field pH 5.5); gradual,
wavy boundary to Bt2.

Bt2 70/80-90 Strong brown (7.5YR 5/8) brownish yellow (10YR 6/6) and red

(2.5YR5/8) gravelly sandy clay loam; weak fine to medium subangular

blocky structure; firm, slightly sticky and very plastic; patchy thin
between sand grain and along root channel; many very fine to fine

interstitial and common medium tubular pores; few fine and
common medium roots; 6% ironstone diameter 1-1.5 cm.; strongly

acid (field pH 5.5); gradual, smooth boundary to Bt3.
